I am absolutely humbled to be a Next Step Fund grantee! With more than 500 applicants, and only 36 grants awarded, I can’t help but feel that I am moving in the right direction, bravery and all.
The grant will support me as I create a new body of (woven) metal sculptures for my first solo exhibition outside of Minnesota. I am the 28th Contemporary Finnish-American artist to be featured in a solo exhibition at the Finlandia University Gallery in Hancock, MI. The show will open on November 29th and run through February 15th, 2019.
